The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to main routes and attractions, such as Alton Towers and the Wedgwood Museum. While the rooms were cozy, the air conditioning unit was noisy and took a while to warm up. The Harvester restaurant nearby offers a handy breakfast buffet before a day of adventure.

The breakfast was very basic with limited options, and I had to bring my own dairy-free milk. However, the staff were accommodating and said they would look into improving the selection.

6.2/10

The hotel room with a disabled bathroom/wetroom made life very easy for me with my disabilities, although there was a slight smell of damp. The room was nice and clean, but a little cramped for two big men. Only having one small chair in the room was not the best, and the breakfast time wasn't great. The lift was slow and out of order for a while. Overall, this Holiday Inn was below par compared to others I've stayed in.

The room with a disabled bathroom/wetroom was very convenient for my disabilities, but there was a slight smell of damp. The cleanliness was good, although a bit cramped for two big individuals. One small chair in the room was inadequate, and the overall experience was below par compared to other Holiday Inns.
Service
8.0
The staff were mostly friendly and the organization was good.
Location
7.0
The location was welcoming and warm, just off the A50. It was convenient for where I needed to go, but being close to Alton Towers during a school break and Bank Holiday made it a bit crowded. Having a Harvester next door was a plus.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was disappointing with a limited range of hot food and poorly prepared dishes. The lack of variety and quality was a letdown for me.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel needs to improve its dining options and maintenance of facilities for a more satisfactory experience.

The hotel had both positive and negative aspects. The room was comfortable with a great bed and amenities, but the lingering smell of cigarettes was a downside. The location was suitable for our needs, and the staff was attentive and welcoming. The dining experience was mixed, with some satisfaction but also points for improvement.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn was a mix of positives and negatives. The family room was clean and equipped with everything we needed, but the strong smoke smell was a downside. The late food availability was a disappointment after being assured of service until 8 pm.

The hotel provides a decent stay for the price paid. The rooms have a comfortable bed, but the sofa bed is not up to par, and the bathroom needs improvement. Breakfast is basic, and service could be more attentive. The location is convenient for Alton Towers but lacks dining options. Value for money is questionable given the quality of the hotel.
